11/3/97 This archive contains "Jazz bank", an experimental MIDIsynth instrument bank I created by combining instruments from my own GrandPiano bank and several other banks previously available. The result is a collection of instruments well suited for jazz-style MIDI sequences, although not at all limited to just that. I've included several example music sequences which use this bank to give you an idea of how well (or not so well) it works. I personally find it quite decent sounding for an Apple IIgs, although not even close to passable when compared to my PC using a Roland SCC-1 sound synthesizer card. ;) I thought I'd release it though, for those who might find it useful, rather than let it sit on my hardrive forever or just end up purging it (which I almost did; my level of standards has completely changed ever since hearing modern wavetable synthesis). All sequences included in this archive (there should be 9) require that "Jazz.bnk" and "Jazz.wav" are in the same directory as the songs or loaded afterwards if using synthLAB.
