Yesterday, i've asked about the format of BinSCII and a Unix tool to unpack BinSCII'ed files. A couple of people sent me an e-mail. Thanks! The tool, i had looked for is called sciibin from Marcel J.E. Mol. The complete package (version 2.0) is is only on two major ftp-sites: ftp.uu.net and wuarchive.wustl.edu. wuarchive.wustl.edu also includes a new version (3.10) of sciibin.c which is more portable and can in/output from/to stdin/stdout. The BinSCII format is very similar to the uuencode format. But it has three extra features: - it contains ProDOS file information (type, date, size, adress, etc.) - it splits the file in several 12 kbyte chunks - it does a crc checksum over the chunks Detailed information can be found in bsc1.2 (look for bsc.aaf) by Neil Parker. It conatins a unix manpage for the BinSCII format. That was it!
