Slow down that >slot or you'll have trouble. By the way, would you happen to know what >all the dip switchs are for? > I assume you mean the Grappler+ switches.. This is what it says in my copy of the operator's manual: Dip Switch Positions 1* 2 3 4 Epson Dot Matrix printers off on on on Panasonic KXP-1090 off on on on Smith-Corona D-100/200/300 off on on on C. Itoh 8510 EP off on on on NEC 8023/C. Itoh 8510/ProWriter off on on off Star Gemini off on off on Anadex Printers off on off off Okidata 82A, 83A, 92, 93, 84 off off on on Okidata 84 w/o Step II Graphics off off off on Apple Dot Matrix off off on off IDS/Dataproducts -Switch settings don't matter- *Switch 1 controls the MSB (Most Significant Bit, or 8th data bit) When this switch is in the ON (+) position the MSB is NOT transmitted to the printer. When the switch is in the OFF (-) position, the MSB is under software control (see Ctrl-H and Ctrl-X under Text commands). There is no further explanation of what each switch is for, perhaps someone knows or can draw a conclusion from the abilities/set-up of the above printers. In any case, use the Apple Dot Matrix settings for a Hewlett Packard Deskjet 500 printer.
