I've setup a PPP server using Windows 2000 Server and its Remote Access
Service for a DOS box which should be very similar in concept to the
IIgs. There are one or two catches because the RAS is not a standard
PPP server and assumes that the computer connecting to it is a Windows
PC. To sort this out you need to modify the mdmhayes.inf file -- see
http://www.onkelinx.com/agenda/ppp.html where somebody has configured
Windows 2000 PPP to link up an Agenda Linux handheld.

You should also be able to achieve this with Windows 2000 Professional.
In the network control panel, create a new Incoming Connection for a
serial link. You will not be able to configure on-demand dialling or
Network Address Translation but it looks to me that you can use W2K Pro
(and presumably XP Pro) to configure a network connection for the IIgs.
