The Etherwave will make it easy to hook up the IIgs to ethernet and to access AppleShare servers using the AppleTalk protocol. *If* the Etherwave supports MacIP then you will be able to use it with Marinetti on the IIgs but you will still need a MacIP server to unwrap MacIP and convert the data to TCP/IP. Not all external LocalTalk to ethernet bridges support MacIP. Realistically, your options are: 1. Use a hardware MacIP server (GatorBox, FastPath or similar). They are cheap on eBay. 2. Use a software MacIP server on a Mac. IPNetRouter (in conjunction with LocalTalk Bridge) handles this well. > Similarly, does anyone know of PC-localtalk bridge software that will > run on a PC, do TCP/IP over localtalk and support my Farallon PC PhoneNET > III card? I've got everything working with PC Maclan, but unfortunately PC > Maclan does not include any such features. A PC-based solution is not possible because there is no MacIP server software. Good luck, Phil
