It is probably good enough for most needs. Ten years ago, when I was tracing the analog board in my Mac Plus, I suddenly remembered the Apple II PS schematic, and there was quite a resemblance. There was enough of a consistency so I could rearrange what I'd already done in the power supply area to match the II's PS, and then use the rest to verify a close match. There is a schematic in the Reference Manual (which is available on many of the A2 ftp servers), and for an explanation of the circuitry, get US patent US4130862 from the IBM server (it was patents.ibm.com, but changed its name some time ago - Google should find it). The schematic is at the bottom of page 1. _/_ / v \ Scott Alfter (remove the obvious to send mail) (IIGS( http://alfter.us/ Top-posting! \_^_/ rm -rf /bin/laden >What's the most annoying thing on Usenet? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Linux) iD8DBQFBBoh6VgTKos01OwkRAhLIAJ4/4X8/HGai6GOOzSmHAlgG3bLIUQCg19E6 1XK4S66CYAkssSB0bVQviCo= =wMXP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Additional followup to the USPTO link in my previous post: their server seems to not want to send images to Mozilla properly. I downloaded the six pages with Lynx, merged them with tiffcp, and have put the file up here: http://alfter.us/files/patent4130862.tif It's worth noting that the schematic in the patent does not include component values or labels; for that info, you need the Apple II Reference Manual. _/_ / v \ Scott Alfter (remove the obvious to send mail) (IIGS( http://alfter.us/ Top-posting! \_^_/ rm -rf /bin/laden >What's the most annoying thing on Usenet? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Linux) iD8DBQFBBo3BVgTKos01OwkRAgSeAJ9FUIGEczSteywtbUn47xdcTohewACaA5Ph vtU/A7GhCamVrjzxFHTS4is= =Qty7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
