I always forget about UNFORKIT0.1 > I believe I have that also if you can't find it. :o) Actually, that's not true on the resource fork always being added. Any file written from a Mac to a ProDOS disk that has the correct creator (pdos) and type (BINA for binary, TEXT for text, p+ProDOS filetype+ProDOS AuxType...not sure of byte order) will transfer to a ProDOS disk without a resource fork being added. I'm fairly certain from looking at the A2 files on my Powerbook that for the type, for a ShrinkIt Archive would be p$E0$02$80, if I'm remembering the ProDOS filetype correctly for ShrinkIt archives. Otherwise, it goes like this: (use a non-proportional font) Apple II filetype Mac Creator Mac Type ----------------- ----------- ------------- ProDOS System pdos PSYS Text pdos TEXT Binary pdos BINA AW Database pdos p$19$xx$xx (varies on caps) AW Word Processor pdos p$1A$xx$xx (varies on caps) AW Spreadsheet pdos p$1B$xx$xx (varies on caps) and so on and so forth.... I dealt with this a lot when I had an Apple IIGS and a Mac both sitting on the same desk. It's just a matter of having the correct information on hand to start with. And having something on the Mac that will let you create Mac filetypes with non-printable characters. Greg B. -- There's just one 2 in my e-mail address, so delete one to e-mail me.
