I have a manual for the fingerprint card. The dip switches for the printer you use and the slot it's connected to. Sw 1-5 are for the printer. The default for an imagewriter is sw1-on, sw2-on sw3-on sw4-on sw5-on, switches 6 and 7 are for which port the printer is connected to. sw1-on sw2-on is for port 1 serial connection. sw8 is not in use. The card is transparent to the machine so it can be in any slot without going to the control panel and changing to "your card". It can also go in slot 3. to test - don't need a disk in the drive, but if one is in it, wait for it to stop. Press and release the activator. As soon as you release the activator the menu screen should appear. That's the test. There's more for trouble shooting Sandy
