VintageWare PS/2 Mouse Adapter for Apple Those of you who were at KansasFest last week may have seen Jay Edwards demonstrating my PS/2 mouse adapter. It's a small adapter which lets a PS/2 mouse (as used with IBM PC-compatibles) plug into an Apple mouse port. It works with the mouse port on the AppleMouse card and the built- in mouse port of the Apple IIc, IIc+ and Laser 128. It should also work with the older Macintosh computers (128K, 512K, Plus), but I don't have one to test it on. The adapter has a pair of microcontrollers inside which translate the PS/ 2 protocol into the Apple mouse format. No software changes or drivers are needed on the Apple side. With this adapter you can now use modern mice, including optical or cordless PS/2 models, on an Apple II. I've set up a web site for selling the adapter via PayPal at . You can also find pictures and more information there. The price is US$22.00 each, plus US$5.00 per order for airmail delivery anywhere in the world. If you're in New Zealand you can also pay in NZ dollars, see the web site for instructions. If anyone has any questions just ask here and I'll be happy to answer them. -- Roger Johnstone, Invercargill, New Zealand ____________________________________________ PS/2 Mouse Adapter for Apple II or Mac order at http://vintageware.orcon.net.nz
