If I recall correctly I did this: Create an 800k ram disk. Use the program FlashBoot: http://trenco2.gno.org/pub/apple2/gs.specific/utils/copy/ to create a bootable ram disk-loading-chessmaster floppy. Flashboot loads your Chessmaster disk into the IIgs's ram disk, and then reboots from the ram disk. Then you don't need to use your Chessmaster disk anymore. You'll still need to boot from the FlashBoot enabled floppy, but only once per session, all subsequent chessmaster reboots can be done from the ram disk. If I recall correctly, the reason Chessmaster doesn't boot using system 6.0 or higher is because of the manner in which the code checks for expansion ram. The program thinks you only have 256k of ram when it checks for an expansion card and it needs at least 512k to run. Apparently the programmers used a kludge to check for expansion ram and Apple broke their code when System 6.0 was released.
