The fundamental structure of HyperCard is the same on both platforms, and the HyperTalk scripting language is the same, but each platform has some features which aren't available on the other one. IIgs HyperCard is probably closest to Mac HyperCard version 2.0 in terms of features, with the addition of full support for colour. There are some Mac HyperCard 2.x features which are missing from the IIgs version. If your Mac HyperCard manual is from version 1.3 or earlier, it is likely to be missing details on several features. (I haven't used IIgs HyperCard for a long time, and I haven't used Mac HyperCard recently, and never for anything particularly complex, so I can't help much in specific details of the differences without referring to the manuals.) -- David Empson dempson@actrix.gen.nz
