If you are new to the Apple II line of computers:
 - In order to use these programs, you will need BinSCII and Shrinkit.
 - Read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) files in the faq
   directory.

If you are new to FTP:
 - Read the FAQ file in the faq directory.

If you are new to the umich Apple II archive:
 - Read the file /apple2/faq/archive.layout to get a feel for the
   directory structure.
 - Each .BSQ or .BSC file has (or should have) a 4 line description.
   These are indexed in /apple2/00INDEX.Z
 - The file "00ls-lRfile" has a "ls -l" of the entire archive.

 - AFS to: /afs/umich.edu/group/itd/archive/apple2
 - gopher to gopher.archive.merit.edu
 - mirrors: (see ../00readme.txt)
