A.C.T. only works with Super Serial Card modems.
You must also have either an Apple //e, //c, or //gs, with at least
128k of memory.

A.C.T. is currently up to version 3.0.3, and has a number of additions
over its previous versions.  If you have a mouse it is also supported.
The mouse in effect replaces the arrow keys and the Return Key.  

A.C.T. was initially designed to work with Main Frame Services, like
GEnie for the purpose of simply conferencing applications.  However as
time flies, programs either evolve or dissolve, which, is no different
with A.C.T.  Today, A.C.T. in order to better serve the educational
market, as well as general user applications, has been largely
rewritten to accommodate the various needs of the public making A.C.T.
not only viable for Main Frame Services, but also for general use with
local BBS's.
