This is not a new file, it has been moved forward for easier access.

  The new System 6.0 Sound Control Panel's "Shutdown Sound" has a bug which often causes it _not_ to play the shutdown sound!  It is reading a random memory location to find out whether a shutdown sound is playing; so if it works for you now, IT MAY NOT KEEP WORKING LATER (if you change your system or run a certain program).
  This BUG fix patches the section of code at fault (as determined by myself and Dave Lyons at Apple).  Dave can't officially release system software patches, but he says mine is "Cool!"

  To fix your copy of GS/OS 6.0, boot your 6.0 disk or hard drive and launch SoundPatch6.0.  It will patch your system automatically.
  That's all there is to it!

Note:  This file is in ShrinkIt format, you will have to unpack it before running.  DON'T WAIT FOR YOUR SHUTDOWN SOUND TO GO AWAY-- GET SoundPatch6.0 TODAY!
