Future editions of THE EXTREMES might be in future issues! --------------------------------------------------------------------- THE NEXT GENERATION AND VOYAGER BOOKS by IamBORG@aol.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are some good books (and, unfortunately, some bad) that I have read since the last issue! "ALL GOOD THINGS..." Novelization by Michael Jan Friedman An excellent novelization of the outstanding final episode, written by one of my personal favorite authors. If you think that you shouldn't read this because you have seen the episode 1001 times, think again. The book has scenes that were never in the episode, and the feelings of the characters are given better through the novel. Excellent to see. Excellent to read. "RAGNAROK" Nathan Archer A fairly good book about a century-old war that Janeway tries to solve. Though it was slow starting because of Neelix's annoying complaining, the adventure continued. The action is towards the end of the book. The characters don't seem to do what I would have thought they would have done. New Pocket books are THE DRAGON'S HONOR (nope, I have no idea what this is about. Check out some Book Message Boards in the Forum) and a Voyager Book, the THE MURDERED SUN (I think that was it. Correct me if I'm wrong). Oh, and, just to note it, TNG Books just got a new design. Check out "The Last Stand" and "Dragon's Honor" to see the new design. Oh, and, another just to note it, Bjo Trimble has come out with a TOS reference book that is really nifty! I bought it and its great. It is called STAR TREK: CONCORDANCE. ---------------------------------------------------------- VOYAGER RERUNS ARE FINALLY OVER! By IamBORG and the AOL Message Board ---------------------------------------------------------- Here are some new episodes coming up!!! "THRESHOLD" Paris surprisingly goes to Warp 10, which is supposed to be impossible. He turns into an amphibian-like creature and tries to destroy Voyager. Sounds weird, huh? "MELD" A crewmember murders another, and Tuvok must find out who did it and why through the Vulcan mind meld. This episode also has a lot of Paris-Chakotay relationship. "DEATH WISH" Everyone oughta see this one! Q returns with a runaway Q-being. This Q-being is a fugitive and Q (John DeLancie) must retrieve him and get him to the continuum. Janeway insists on a trial, and Q brings Riker (played by Jonathan Frakes!!!!) to be a lawyer. 2Qs+Riker in Voyager = One Great Voyager Episode!!!!! "DREADNOUGHT" Torres must configure a Cardassian piece of equipment (don't know much about it.) LeVar Burton (a.k.a. Geordi LaForge) directs this episode. ----------------------------------------------------- ALL STAR TREK TNG EPISODES: 1-178 ----------------------------------------------------- Here's a list of ALL of the TNG episodes for your reference! Cut&Paste, Copy, Print, I don't really care! For your reference! This is just a list of all the episodes - no summary, no stardate - just a rating and a phrase to describe it. Please don't flame me if your favorite episode is rated 2 stars! I tried to the best I can. I can guarrentee you that my rating won't be the same as yours! The ratings are just supposed to be a "guide" so you know which episodes are bloopers and which ones you shouldn't miss. Thank you. NOTE: To use the list the best way, use a "smart" word processor such as MS Word. If you watch this and see "columns" and everything lined up, then it should be fine. * - Don't watch ** - OK. If you have a choice - watch it. Not too great *** - Good episode! Better than a **! **** - Do not miss this episode! One of the best!
