From: Charles T. (Dr. Tom) Turley, Ph.D. 115 Santa Clara St. Brisbane, CA., 94005 USA Tel. (415) 468-1609 Internet - 3D5D1WSW@Calon.com GEnie - C.TURLEY2 About the disk archive file -> MV1.SDK This is the same text file, that you will find on the MV1 disk, titled 'MV1.Read.Me'. The MV1 disk, requires only 800k of memory on your GS to allow it to load, run and play the MegaVAMPS NTGS type 2 music module. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to the very first release of MegaVAMPS (Number 1), the disk that will take your ears and your mind to new sonic frontiers. There's only one NTGS type 2 music module on this disk. But, it's a MegaVAMPS music module, that's 1309 blocks in size. This NTGS music module is a spoofy, mind-boggler and a new remastered take-off of the old classic 'BLOOD MONEY'. It got some amazing digital sounds with lots of vocoded samples that were also added, featuring; the Simpsons, Marlyn Monroe, the (SNL) Church Lady, Wolfman Jack, Capt. Kirk, Mission Impossible, Wookie, the FTA cast and myself (reversed and electronically altered). Humor, as well as system and sonic confusion, with a multitude of overlay, underlay and overlap samples abound in this composition. This disk and its files actually emulate multiple GS/OS applications, by internally transmutating its binary files into S16 files. If you find that hard to comprehend, then press control and reset, while the music is playing and catalog the disk. Prepare yourself for both; an ear full and a mind full of system and sonic madness and merth ! This (NO TOOLS) ProDOS 8 and multiple GS/OS applications emulation disk, is for use only as, a self-booting (DMA - Fast RAM Virtual Memory), (AUTO-LOAD and AUTO-PLAY) NTGS music (MegaVAMPS) JukeBox disk. It must remain as specific disk based software. You can't launch and play the NTGS music module, via the basic JukeBox program from a hard drive, RAM drive or any other device using the GS/OS finder for launch. Before you access any such data/program storage device, after you have finished using this disk, it's essential that you do a complete reboot, using; Apple, Control and Reset keys together. The music was remastered and saved as NTGS v2.0 module - type 2 files. This new development type 2 file (which presents several audio special effects), can only be loaded for single play, via the NTGS v2.0 GS/OS music program. The music and sounds were digitally remastered and loop processed, using the Hughes Sound Retreiver AK-500, the SoundMeister Stereo digitizer card, Sound Ace GS v2.2 and DigitalSessions. The NTGS music modules are designed with unique soundscape dimensional enhancements to present both; binaural and bineural stereo (audio active) special effects. To hear these unique binaural and bineural stereo (audio active) special effects and all of the enhancements of the soundscape, you'll need to have a IIgs stereo card (SoundMeister - suggested), a full size, (over the ears) set of full range 20 Hz to 20KHz headphones (4 Hz to 25 KHz - electrostatic suggested) , a good stereo amplifier system (SurRoundSound - SRS support - suggested), a full and normal hearing range, a good sense of sonic humor and an open mind. This MegaVAMPS disk, its graphics, JukeBox basic program, program files and the disk design are a re-released version of the original. They are copyright © 1994 by 1WSW and OSRL. It's a FreeWare. The NTGS (MegaVAMPS) music module 'Funny Money' on this disk is released as public domain. Please make sure to distribute this disk, as it is and only pack it as an 800k disk archive - SDK file, when you transmit it on-line. If you have any questions or comments, please address them to me personally, as noted above, via; e-mail, snail mail or voice phone. I look forward to hearing from you, if you have need of any additional information on this disk, its design or the NTGS - type 2 (MegaVAMPS) music module contained on it.
