Blackjack Tutor: Freeware for the Apple IIGS Written by Dave Tribby, 1529 Fantail Ct., Sunnyvale, CA 94087 GEnie: D.TRIBBY; Internet: tribby@cup.hp.com The Blackjack Tutor package consists of the following files: Blackjack The program file containing executable code and resources. Requires Apple IIGS system software 5.0 or later; 6.0 is recommended. Blackjack.Cfg The configuration file containing playing strategies, betting strategies, and casino rules. Blackjack Tutor opens this file using the "@:" prefix, so it should be installed in the same directory as Blackjack. If Blackjack is being run on an AppleShare server, a copy of the configuration file should be placed in the user's user folder. (See GS/OS Technical Note #10: "How Applications Find Their Files.") Blackjack.Icons An icon file containing an icon for each of the two files described above. This file should be placed in the Icons folder, usually on the boot-up disk. Blackjack.Doc A "Teach document" file containing detailed information on the game of blackjack, instructions for using Blackjack Tutor, and a list of modifications between versions 2.0 and 3.0. It can be read with the Teach program distributed with System Software 6.0 or through the EGOed New Desk Accessory from GS+ magazine. If you change the file type to ASCII text (file type number 4) you can read the text from most other editors...although some formatting information will be lost.
