This is "A Mind Forever Voyaging" from Infocom, straight off the original disk. Requires a //e or better with 80 columns and 128K and 1 or 2 5.25" floppy drive(s). Since the back side uses nonstandard nibblig to fit on more data, it comes as a .NIB image. The game $VERIFYs itself as OK on AppleWIN. (Obviously Infocom used quality media so it lasted all those years.) As the purpose of this is to enhance the Apple experience and not to promote piracy, the system-independent part of the documentation is not included. Buy the "Lost Treasures" or "Masterpieces" CDs for the Mac/PC, or buy an original for any system off eBay or whatever. Don't expect to understand what's going on in this game without documentation! Some Info from the Apple II-specific Reference card (paraphrased): Boot the 1st side as usual. When you're told to do so, flip it over. Leave the disk in the drive at all times during play unless told otherwise. Type in commands. To finish a line just press RETURN. To back up use left-arrow or DELETE. When you see [MORE] press any key to proceed. You can make a transcript to a serial or parallel printer. To do so type SCRIPT. Then answer with the slot number your printer card is in. Typing UNSCRIPT stops the transcript. To save the game you need a DOS or ProDOS formatted blank(!) disk. Each save game disk can hold up to four saved positions. To save, type SAVE. Then answer the questions on Position#, Drive# and Slot# you want to use. When prompted, insert the save game disk. To reload a saved game type RESTORE. Then proceed as above. If you have trouble, you should check your equipment and maybe re-format the save game disk. The game disk can be checked with the $VERIFY command. Be aware that this takes 5-10 minutes to complete. Enjoy!
