UltraBlank V2.08 is now available!  I'm releasing it to 
comp.binaries.apple2, and it should also be available soon by FTP on 
grind.

What is UltraBlank, you ask?  It's a screen blanker for the AppleIIgs 
which will blank the screen while any program is running (including 
ProDOS 8 programs like AppleWorks!).  It will blank ANY video mode which 
is available on the GS.  Best of all, the current program will still be 
running when the screen is blanked, which means you can leave your 
programs to do something that takes a lot of time (like printing, etc.), 
and they will still be running when the screen is blanked!  Even when 
using the Bouncing Ball blanking type, which puts an animated ball on a black screen when the screen is "blanked", instead of that boring black 
screen.  Yes, this also works while the computer is in any video mode.  Be 
sure you read the included documentation before using, for full details.

Some of the changes from version 2.06 include optimizations in the interrupt
handling code, so it should have even less of a load on the computer while
bouncing the ball, some changes to the CDA, and some minor bug fixes.

If you've been having problems losing characters at high modem speeds 
while UB's active, try out this version.  If you still have problems, let 
me know, since I'm working on other solutions to this problem.
