THE ERASE FUNCTION ERASE DISK becomes available after the intermediate interface level. Access the ERASE function from the WORK menu. Use ERASE to quickly remove ALL files from a formatted volume or to format a new, unformatted disk. When formatting use the NEXT DEVICE button to set the source path to the correct device with the unformatted media. When erasing a disk, the volume name is preserved. When formatting a disk, the volume name is set to "/Blank". If ERASE determines that the source disk has been formatted, then the a erase is performed, otherwise, a format is performed. Follow these steps when performing a ERASE operation: (1). Determine if the source path is correct. (2). Select the BEGIN button. (3). Verify the ERASE or FORMAT in the System generated dialog.
