THE ERASE FUNCTION

ERASE DISK becomes available after the intermediate interface level.

Access the ERASE function from the WORK menu.  Use ERASE to quickly remove ALL files from a formatted volume or to format a new, unformatted disk.  When formatting use the NEXT DEVICE button to set the source path to the correct device with the unformatted media.  When erasing a disk, the volume name is preserved.  When formatting a disk, the volume name is set to "/Blank".  If ERASE determines that the source disk has been formatted, then the a erase is performed, otherwise, a format is performed.

Follow these steps when performing a ERASE operation:
	(1).  Determine if the source path is correct.
	(2).  Select the BEGIN button.
	(3).  Verify the ERASE or FORMAT in the System generated dialog.

BUTTON ACTIONS IN THE ERASE WINDOW

There are four buttons in the ERASE window:  BEGIN, NEXT VOLUME, NEXT DEVICE, and CHOOSE PATH.
