Just out of sheer boredom one day, I decided to convert the sound effects from DOOM 1.2r into rSounds for use with the Sound control panel. I used the DMAUD utility (sorry, I don't have the author's name handy) to extract the sounds, then Ian SchmidtÕs AudioZap and Paul BensonÕs rSounder to convert them to resource sounds. Jason SimmonÕs Instant Replay automated the whole procedure. DOOM was created by id Software, and is also published by id Software.
