Hello!

To all IIGS users and all the others who might get this CD into their
hands.

This is the catalog of the Apple IIGS public domain software library.

The catalog has been completey rewritten during the year 1993, in order
to remove duplicates, obsolete versions and broken files. All files
have been packed with ShrinkIt GS to save disk space. Whenever possible
a short description of the program/file has been included.

At current there are 238 disks with PD, shareware, demos, bitÐmap, and
TrueType fonts available, which youÕre going to find on this CDÐROM.

The catalog has been split into several files, which will be a big help
for those whose GS hasnÕt that much memory (those are still aroundÉ).
The files have been split by themes, therefore the single files donÕt
contain disk numbers sequentially following each other. ThereÕs one big
file provided, however, for those who want to have a quick look; itÕs
approximately 230K big.

To read the files with AppleWorks Classic 3.0 or 4.02, you have to copy
the files onto a ProDOS disk, as ProDOS 8 doesnÕt know head nor tail of
a HFS CDÐROM. For a quick look from within GS/OS the complete catalog
is available on the CD as Teach file, too.

The fields in the databases have the
following meaning:

Disk: 	the running no. of the disk in the public domain library of the IIGS SIG
           
Path: 	the name of the disk, resp. the path to the files

Name: 	the name of the program/file or folder

Type:	the file type

B1, B2 
& B3:	description of the program/file
