September 10, 1995 This NDA will probably be most helpful to folks who don't have the Script Language Guide published by Addison Wesley...it gives some basic examples of most HyperTalk commands, properties and functions. If you can, I do suggest that you try to get a copy of the Script Guide, or failing that, Danny Goodman's HyperCard book for Mac version 1.2.5 if you are really interested in scripting HyperCard, as these books will really help you learn how to do some amazing things with this great development tool. As noted in the NDA itself, this began life as a HyperCard (Mac) stack, which was turned into a Mac DA. I have now brought it to the IIGS, with a few addtions (the page number references to the Script Language Guide) and editorial corrections. I hope that you will find this useful, and that it will help you in scripting HyperCard IIGS stacks for your own pleasure and benefit. Just make sure that this gets placed in the Desk Accessories folder inside the System Folder of your hard drive, and you will be able to begin using it. You can also select text and use the Edit menu to copy it out and put it in a stack, or to print out the whole thing for a printed reference. I adapted John Siemon's TextDisplayNDA using REdit and Hermes. Regards, Steve Cavanaugh GEnie: S.Cavanaugh1 AOL:SteveC1021 internet:cav@strauss.udel.edu
