Here is a stack containing a group of XCMDs and XFCNs written for HyperCard IIGS that will allow the user to control various aspects of the Video Overlay Card on the IIGS from a HyperTalk script. I have borrowed (slightly modified) the format that Apple Computer used in its Scripter's Tools stack, so that each card of this stack explains the syntax of each command and/or function, and the XCMD or XFCN can be installed directly into the user's stack from this stack. These commands and functions were written using ORCA/PASCAL 2.0 as well as a header file that I wrote and compiled myself to allow access to the VOC using Pascal (for some reason Byte Works didn't supply a Tool Interface file for the Video Overlay Card). If you have any comments, questions, or whatever, feel free to contact me via Email. On America OnLine I am Gyles. On GEnie, D. Stetson. I will share my source code with anyone interested in learning to write an XCMD or XFCN using ORCA/Pascal. I realize Shareware is, at best, a faulty means of seeking remuneration, but I did a good deal of work to produce this stack and will appreciate any monetary recognition I might get for it. (This can go a long way in keeping me interested in developing software for the IIGS, rather than influencing me to make a departure for the Mac, as have so many others). I suggest a fee of $15 after 15 days of satisfactory use. You can send it to: David Stetson 4 Boyce Farm Road Lincoln, MA 01773 If you don't find the stack useful, delete it and don't send the fee. It may be distributed freely through user groups, or uploaded to other bulletin board systems. Kindly include this file with it. Thanks. David Stetson
