This stack allows all of the cards of another stack to be rescued into a new stack. Copy the Operation Card into an empty stack, or create a new stack with the current background while viewing the Operation Card. First, push the button to define the bad stack. (Make sure that you are working on a backup, as the bad stack is all but empty when finally repaired). Second push the button to define the new stack that will receive all of the cards. Finally, go to the bad stack, and find out the card number of the bad card. This can be done by typing "Show all Cards" into the message box, and when Hypercard halts, pull down Show Card Info. Adding one to the number of that card will give the bad card number. Then return to the repair stack and push the button to define the bad card. The repair operation will take some time, depending on the number of cards in the offending stack, and the complexity of the card layer. The Macintosh will beep 5 times when the task is completed. One potential difficulty is that no cards in the offending stack can have the "Cannot Delete Card" Flag raised. Turn this check box off on any cards that have this. If any cards are protected then you will get the error "Cannot Delete Protected Card" This Hypercard stack is public domain.
