Its auto-detection of SCSI vs Parallel is fragile, to say >the least. (This applies to all platforms, not specifically the >RamFast.) I can confirm this. I bought one for use on my PC SCSI chain so I could use it on my IIgs and also take it to friends PCs on the parallel port. Hooked it up on my PC which has 3 internal SCSI hard disks, one external and an external DAT drive on an Adaptec 2940U. Started copying files to it, and my PC hung half way through. Restarted, and it had toasted all of my hard drive partition and FAT tables. Damn good job I do regular backups. By the time I got another SCSI card to put it on all by itself, I could have bought one parallel and one SCSI ZIP and had the best of both worlds... I haven't had the nerve to connect it to my IIgs yet. I've far more to lose on that system...
