Boldface Commands

With AppleWorks 1.x and 2.x , standard boldface commands stay in 
force until a carriage return is encountered. To print an entire 
document in boldface with the standard boldface command alone, you 
must place the command at the beginning of each block of text that 
ends with a carriage return.  Or, you can try adding the escape 
code for emphasized printing for your printer to the end of the 
interface card code.  Then, the boldface command should be sent  
through the interface card for each line of text.  

With AppleWorks 3.0, boldface stays in force until an "Boldface 
End" command is encountered.  Thus the entire document can be 
printed in boldface if a "Boldface Begin" command is placed at the 
start of the document and a "Boldface End" is placed at the end  
of the document.
