Segmented File

The Applied Engineering DeskTop Expander patch lets an AppleWorks 
user store a large file over several 5.25-inch disks.  If the file 
is larger than 136K (the maximum that can be stored on a 5.25 inch 
disk), it is "segmented".  To reload a segmented file, the data 
disks must be inserted in the same order that was used during the 
original saving process.  The code responsible for "segmenting" 
files is not part of AppleWorks.  It is part of the Applied 
Engineering DeskTop Expander patch.  If something goes wrong 
during this process and an error message asking for a "segmented 
desktop file" appears, make sure that you are inserting the data 
disks in the correct order.  If this doesn't correct the problem, 
the file may be damaged.
