AppleWorks J __________________________________________________________________ AppleWorks 2.0 - Using the IIGS Clock __________________________________________________________________ For AppleWorks 1.x or 2.0 to recognize the clock on the Apple IIGS, ProDOS 8 must be installed on the startup disk. If an AppleWorks 2.0 disk does not have ProDOS 8 (the ProDOS version will be displayed when starting up), make a backup copy of the original AppleWorks disk and, using the copy, do the following: 1. Delete the file "PRODOS" from the AppleWorks Startup disk. 2. Copy the file "P8" from the Apple IIGS System disk to the copy of the AppleWorks Startup Disk. The "P8" file is in the subdirectory called "SYSTEM" on the Apple IIGS System Disk. 3. Rename the file "P8" to "PRODOS" 4. Startup the new AppleWorks disk to test it. The date from the Apple IIGS clock should be entered automatically.
