TextDragon v0.9 =============== by Garth Minette and Johnson Earls (c) Copyright 1990, by Sylver Dragon Software Introduction: What is TextDragon? TextDragon is a conversion utility that translates between UNIX and Apple text file formats. UNIX text files use a line feed character to denote the end of a line, while Apple text files use a carriage return character. Using TextDragon is simple... You run the TextDragon program, go to the convert menu, and select which way you wish to convert the text file. You will be pompted to select the file to convert and what filename you wish to save the converted text to using the standard file dialogs. A dialog will then appear providing some useful information about the file to be converted, and a thermometer that shows the progress of the conversion. When it is finished, a small window with a button will appear to let you know that it is done. Future Additions: Control Character Suppression: a dialog will let you select if you wish to suppress, change, or ignore control characters, and let you choose which common control chars will not be affected. Ability to handle conversion from/to the CR-LF's used by VAX/VMS systems We are looking for ideas to add to TextDragon, and would appreciate any suggestions that you might have. Please send ideas by e-mail to gminette@polyslo.CalPoly.EDU or jearls@polyslo.CalPoly.EDU, or send GEnie mail to G.MINETTE . TextDragon is BegWare. That means that we ask only for donations of whatever you feel that this program is worth.
