Oh for crying out loud, it's not a problem on the IIgs either! On the disk, edit block $2F and change byte $80 from $4F67 to $5768 (I think that's block 2 in the file MF). I've had that patch since the late 1980's. I'll admit some games can't be (or are diificult to) run from a hard disk, but there's not that much that can't be fixed.
