Paul, I have done the AE thing with my 40 MB drive before it died. mind you I ran it lots of times successfully before it died. I was trying different interleaving ratios for maximising drive speed, but my drive had a lot of bad blocks anyway, so it was inevitable that it would die. BTW the best interleave I got for my WD 40M drive was 13:1. I have Part.Manager v2.05 if you want an image. I also have documented some fault finding on this drive, which includes how to use Part Manager. I'll see if I can find it. Below is part of it, although I can't remember whether the drive was working when I wrote this or not. Anyway it should help a bit. I have a Conner 40MB and Conner 170M drive that I'd like to use with this card, so that Gold EPROM might be the go.
