Most files are available by three methods. The file name link downloads files from the server you are currently on using the HTTP protocol. The HTTP and FTP links following the file name will retrieve the file from the master Trenco archive using the HTTP or FTP protocols, respectively.
bed A binary editor that can handle "infinitely" long lines and null bytes in the file. Intended for editing binary files. This file was originally marked as version 1.1, released in November 1993. See also the entry for bed.v110.shk.

emacs This is MicroEmacs (uemacs), an EMACS text editor clone. [version 3.9e]
less less is text pager that is more fully featured than more(1). Text pagers allow you to view text one screenful at a time. less also has search and edit capabilities. [version 1.6]

rose This is a front end for the Rose editor, for use with GNO and ORCA/Shell v2.x. It fixes a problem with using the Rose editor from these shells, due to Rose expecting "/" as a pathname delimiter instead of ":". On ftp sites, this tends to be archived under the basename "roseedit". [version 1.0]
