This is version 4.1C of DiversiDOS as re-constructed from the files stored on apple2.archive.umich.edu. I am providing this version as a shrunk 140K disk for easier unpacking. No need to mess around with converting the files from ProDOS to DOS 3.3 format. I have also renamed those files whose names had been modified for ProDOS compatibility back to the names given in the instructions to avoid confusion. This disk is shareware still. Bill Basham asks $30 payment for the software as he did originally. You can reach him via e-mail at dsr@wizard.net or visit his WWW page at http://www.wizard.net/~dsr. He still has some other Apple II software and pricing listed there. The address and phone number on the DiversiDOS disk are no longer correct. Here is the correct information. Diversified Software Research 10400 Connecticut Ave. #301 Kensington, MD 20895 Phone: 301-890-3168 Here are some additional notes. There may be a file or 2 that is unneeded. The instructions do not explain the purpose of all the files nor do they mention the garbage-collection and RAM disk options. However, selecting these options gives a fairly good explanation of them. Before deleting any files, be sure to make a backup of this disk! If you want an 80-colum print-out or textfile of the documentation, run the program called instructions and follow its prompts. Dogfight is an old game that is included (according to the instructions) with both DiversiDOS and DiversiCopy. It can accomodate up to 8 players and (as its name implies) lets you fly planes around and shoot each other or computerized planes down. Complete instructions are included. There doesn't appear to be any way to exit once you've started the game except by rebooting so save your work before you play! That's about all I can think of. If you wish to reach me, I can be contacted via e-mail to adam.myrow@asu.edu. I hope this software will be useful to somebody. Adam Myrow March 13, 1997.
