Most files are available by three methods. The file name link downloads files from the server you are currently on using the HTTP protocol. The HTTP and FTP links following the file name will retrieve the file from the master Trenco archive using the HTTP or FTP protocols, respectively.

basic.help.shk (65 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

BASIC.Help gives AppleSoft program developers online information about BASIC operations. Some of the information includes AppleSoft errors, ProDOS errors, information on calling machine language, using graphics, logical operations, and more. Now released as Freeware by Gary E. Karcz and InSite Software via The Lost Classics Project. Our thanks to Gareth Jones for his help with this archive. Please read the Freeware.Notice contained within this archive.

BigU.sdk (83 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

Big-U from Beagle Bros is a collection of utilities for ProDOS. CRT.WRITER lets you lay out a text screen and then generates the Applesoft code needed to re-create it in a program. FILE.MOVER lets you perform file operations similar to Copy II+ or Cat Doctor. KEYCAT.80 is an 80-column text disk menu program. Several other utilities are included.

compare2.shk (8 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

This archive contains Compare v.2 - an Applesoft file compare utility written by Jeff Fink, the author of Silvern Castle. This is an update of his earlier v1.1 of this program, and has been released as freeware by the author.

DCode.sdk (87 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

D-Code, from Beagle Bros, is a compactor/debugger for Applesoft programs. This file is a ShrinkIt! disk archive of a 'hybrid' 5.25" diskette that contains both ProDOS and DOS 3.3. Boot the disk to access the ProDOS files. Boot DOS 3.3 from another diskette to access the DOS 3.3 files.

DoubleTake.sdk (78 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

This set of utilities from Beagle Bros allows scrolling forwards and backwards through disk catalogs, program listings, monitor listings, and more. In addition, it formats Applesoft listings for easier reading on the screen or printer. Several other utilities for Applesoft programmers are included. This is a symbolic link to ../../../appledos33/programming/utils/DoubleTake.sdk

mike.daemon.shk (7 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

Michael's Daemon 2.0 is an addition to the BASIC.SYSTEM environment that allows multitasking applications on the IIe, IIc, and Laser series of computers. It uses the interrupts generated by a mouse card. At this time Daemon does not appear to like the mouse cards of the apple IIgs, hence amusingly enough, Daemon only provides multitasking on computers older than the gs. Daemon REQUIRES a mouse card, but not a mouse. Daemon is basically a programming tool to allow people unfamiliar with interrupt processing to write routines which will run in the background, transparent to the user - in effect multitasking.

progrmwritr.shk (62 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

Program Writer is a utility program that allows you to quickly and effortlessly make changes or add new lines to a BASIC program. Changes are made to the program much like editing a text file with a word processor. Program Writer allows you to quickly scroll to the location in your program you want to edit. You can also use a mouse for faster cursor control. With Program Writer you can insert, delete, find and replace, renumber, copy and paste, delete lines, add new lines with automatic line numbering, insert control characters, split a line in two, list all the variables in the program, convert to upper/lower case or copy between programs. The editor is a memory-resident program, hidden from your own BASIC programs. It is always available for use once it has been installed. Because the other program relocates itself, it should be compatible with most other machine language utilities you may be using already.

progwrtrdoc.shk (23 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

This archive is the manual for Program Writer, in text format. This manual is now released as Freeware by the author, Alan Bird via the Lost Classics Project. Please see the FREEWARE.NOTICE included in the archive. Our thanks to Gareth Jones for transcribing the manual.

shape.mech1.shk (61 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

Beagle Brothers' Shape Mechanic. This is a set of utilities that lets you create and animate shapes, and display special fonts. Program disk, but not bootable (requires PRODOS and BASIC.SYSTEM files). This is a symbolic link to ../../graphics/programs/shape.mech1.shk

shape.mech2.shk (57 k) Retrieve from Trenco by HTTP or by FTP.

Beagle Brothers' Shape Mechanic. This is a set of utilities that lets you create and animate shapes, and display special fonts. Fonts disk. This is a symbolic link to ../../graphics/programs/shape.mech2.shk
