This patch does the same for Word FDProcesso files that are loaded. It preserves the cursor position as 1well as the zoom status when it was last saved.How it works============IGWhen AppleWorks is loading a WP file, it resets the cursor position to FDthe top of the file. Now all you have to do is keep AppleWorks from FDresetting the position, right? Wrong. Because of the way AppleWorks GEpoints to lines, it is possible that a file created on an AppleWorks CA2.0/2.1 (with or without AE expanders) has a different reference GEnumber to the current line than when it is now under AppleWorks 3.0. B@The patch thus checks if the file is a file with AppleWorks 3.0 HFfeatures. If it is not, it resets the cursor position like AppleWorks HFnormally does. Otherwise, it keeps good old AppleWorks from resetting ?=the file position. Thus the file needs to be marked as a new AAppleWorks 3.0 only file before restoring the cursor will work. Quirks? =======IGIf you find that sometimes AppleWorks 3.0 (patched with restore cursor FDposition) does not restore the cursor position, it is likely due to HFthe fact that the file is not a new AW 3.0 file. To mark a file as an HFAW 3.0 file, simply press the TAB key once (you can optionally delete FDthe tab you just added, it makes no difference). Now save the file. HThe cursor position will be restored the next time the file is loaded.Problems with AE================FDOnce again, problems with AE may arise. If the user who created the HFfile (and saved it) was using the new AE Expander 3.x without TimeOut ECinstalled (which set the limit at 23,000 lines instead of 16,000), HFthere can be problems when trying to restore the cursor position on a Dmachine that does not have the AE patch installed without TimeOut.
