If a storage disk is in one of the drives, the Writing & Publishing Center will use it automatically. If you are using only one disk drive or the storage disk is not in a drive at startup, the program will assume you have a one-drive system and ask you to swap disks to save your work. A storage disk is included with the Writing & Publishing Center, but you can make extras should the disk become damaged, or you need more space. From inside a document, 1. Press ESC and select the File menu. 2. Select Format a Storage Disk. 3. Follow the directions on the screen. You can also make your own storage disks with separate software. 1. Start the Apple computer with the ProDOS User's Disk or use any ProDOS-based disk formatting program. 2. Format a new disk in ProDOS and title it exactly: CREATE.PURST.T 3. Create a directory on the disk named exactly: Z The Writing & Publishing Center will save any new documents to this disk if it is in a drive during startup. (C) 1990 The Learning Company
