Let's call it a crack of the new millennium. Download the .nib images from: https://archive.org/download/Uncracked4am Open an image with CiderPress: What? A ProDOS formatted disk and no PRODOS.SYS file? There must be a custom bootloader. Use CiderPress -> Tools -> Bulk disk image converter and move both images from .NIB to .PO Undadorned ProDOS-order. Boot one of the .PO image with AppleWin and look at that garbled text screen. Click on the magnifyinig glass, the program is in a tight loop: 09A8: 4C A8 09 JMP $09A8 a few bytes later you find: 09B0: C9 DE CMP #$DE .... 09B9: C9 AA CMP #$AA and: 09C2: C9 BE CMP #$BE Smells like modified data prologue. Open both the .PO images with your favourite hex editor and change the bytes $DE and $BE to the standard $D5 and $AD. They are located at offset $1427 and $1439. How they say? Quod erat liberandum. Reboot and... enjoy. Oh boy! I need a catchphrase... How about: No Apples II were harmed in the making of this crack?
