Installing the GS Sales Demo on a Hard Disk/Floptical/Whatever Why? The demo's ProDOS 8 (and a cool experimental version too! Whoa!) and loading from a floppy is way too slow. Solution? Put it on your hard disk (okay... you'll have to reboot to quit.. but the thing's not cool enough to run like 50 times anyway) Basically, there's a file in the BIN directory called SCENECONTROL. Edit this sucker to change the prefices where the demo looks for its files. Sample: /main/gsdemo/act1/sc1/ zz big rotate lit /main/gsdemo/act2/sc1/ ... Now, "/main/gsdemo" is the prefix where I have the demo. You can change it to wherever, provided it doesn't exceed 64 characters (this is ProDOS 8, mind you :) ). Just be sure not to leave any out, because the demo will go into a rather nasty loop of "File not found.." that you'll have to reboot to get out of. Apple II Forever! II Infinitum! All that stuff!
