BSC-It 1.0 -- a new binscii encoder/decoder by Tom Larson.  His words:

Bscit. I done added in the variable size segment thing you wanted (4,8,
and 16k chunks). It extracts with regular binscii too. I also hacked in
some Finder support but I'm not going to push that. I rewrote the crc-16
routine to use a lookup table and did some informal speed tests using
the 2qwk23u.zip archive. At 1MHz Binscii took 58 secs to decode, BscIt
took 18 seconds. At 7MHz BscIt was about twice as fast, around 4-5 secs.

Presently he's developing and testing the next version, which includes
Base64 support (it works!), and will try to include BinHex and uu-code.
