No need to remove your 80 column card for ANY of the following steps
1) Use "RELBOOT.SDK" and "RELEASE.DSK" to create real disks
2) Insert disks into drives
3) Boot
4) Press the "X" key then enter "RELEASE:INSTALL"
   to start the installation program
5) Respond to the two prompts given by the installation program
6) Press the "C" key then enter "SYSTEM.APPLE" and "PRIOR"
   to change the name on the disk in drive 1
7) Press the "T" key then enter "#5:SYSTEM.APPLE" and "#4:SYSTEM.APPLE"
   to copy the generated "SYSTEM.APPLE" to the disk in drive 1
8) Boot to see the modified system in action

I'm fairly certain that all steps except the last can be done using
the AppleWin emulator.
